Field Support Engineer

As a Field Support Engineer working for a prestigious real estate company, you will be responsible for providing desktop and network support to multiple offices across the City of London. The company have a number of serviced offices mainly in zone 1 therefore the role is roaming, you'll be responsible for providing onsite technical support to customers and setting up their IT equipment.

The role has been created due to expansion and offers a great opportunity to work with up to date technologies and work with various different customers. As this role is client facing role it is essential you are well presented with excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to non-technical users.

As a Field Support Engineer you will be responsible for:

*Printer setup
*Supporting Windows Operating Systems
*Firewall configurations
*Basic networking, setting up VLANs
*Ensure the comms room is kept tidy
*Setting up IT requirements for customers for the offices
*Desktop and network support on an as requested basis along with field engineers from a 3rd party contractor
*Ensuring information on the portal is kept up to date for the provisioning of services both new and existing customers
*Assist with patching of voice and internet connections
*Assist with IT audits

Essential Requirements
*Experience in a similar role/business environment with high levels of customer service
*Good communicator with the ability to clearly understand customer requirements
*Highly organised
*"Going the extra mile" to deliver timely fixes or updates for customers
*A quick learner and keen to learn new technologies
*Troubleshooting, owning, resolving cases and keeping the client informed
*Flexibility with working hours
*A problem solver with resilience and tenacity in problem solving with customer enquiries, requests and complaints

Preferable technical requirements:
*Previous support desk/helpdesk experience
*MS Office administration
*SharePoint administration
*MS Office 2013 troubleshooting/Office 365 admin portal
*MS Server 2012 - Management and administration of group policies
*Active Directory management and administration
*Hands on experience with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1
*Basic router configuration
*Dealing with 3rd party suppliers, owning and managing technical escalations
*Basic knowledge of iMacs
*Assumed and reasonable TCP/IP based networking experience

Other beneficial experience:
*Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, MCITP
*Worked in an ITIL environment
