The Role

As a Helpdesk Support Engineer working for an established Telecommunications company you will be responsible for providing remote support to both SME and Enterprise customers in London and all over the UK. You will also be involved in projects within the business. You must have previous experience of working with Avaya IP Office along with a solid understanding of networking including TCP/IP. You will be providing mainly desk based support however there may be a requirement to travel to customer site when needed. You will be working in a growing team of 5 and will be involved in the following duties:

*Providing all levels of support
*Dealing with support queries both on the phone and over email
*Troubleshooting issues and resolving faults
*Maintaining systems
*Supporting engineers onsite with installations as and when required including the change of hardware, cable patching (Cat 5/6) and testing equipment

The Requirements
You will have technical experience in the following areas:

*A minimum of 2 years experience working with Avaya IP Office and networking in either a helpdesk, support desk or similar role
*Good working knowledge and understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP
*Good working knowledge and understanding of voice including SIP

Experience in any of the following is desirable:
*Previous experience of working in an ISP/Telecoms company
*IT experience including Windows
*Certified or studying towards Avaya or CCNA

You will be a good problem solver with excellent customer service skills and will be confident and self-motivated.
