A leading Telecoms managed services company in the City of London are looking to recruit a Network Architect that has worked in a MSP with recent MPLS experience. The salary on offer is £55,000 - £60,000 + £2,400 on call + over time + Excellent Benefits.

Network Architect
£55,000 - £60,000 + £2,400 out of hours cover + Excellent Benefits including 22 days holiday + bank holidays + childcare vouchers

The Role
As a Network Architect working for a leading IT solutions company in the City you will be responsible for all aspects of the operational networking including systems and security and will act as a specialist within the team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the network is fully utilised and maintain the network to a high standard. You will be working within a dynamic and growing team and will be involved in working with customers to design, configure and implement solutions. You will have recent MPLS experience and have worked for a MSP or ISP. This company are offering an experienced Network Architect the opportunity to join and be the specialist within the team. You will be responsible for:

*Providing pre-sales technical support, ensuring that the design and implementation of solutions is to a high standard
*Provision of solutions for customers including design, configuration testing and implementation
*Ensure the network is optimised, resilient and performs to a very high standard
*3rd level support to the NOC and field ops
*Core network architecture, maintaining up to date as-built documentation, identifying areas for improvement and carrying out upgrades
*Defining and maintaining operational procedures across the network
*Working with equipment vendors to evaluate new equipment, systems and technologies

The Requirements
The ideal candidate should be Cisco Certified to CCNP level and possibly working towards a CCIE certification or Juniper JNCIS-SEC. The key technical requirements are:

*4 Years' experience in a similar role within an ISP or MSP
*Design and implement OSPF based network solutions in an ISP / MSP environment.
*Design and implement BGP based network solutions in an ISP / MSP and environment.
*Design and implement MPLS based network solutions (using Brocade/Juniper/Cisco) in an ISP or MSP environment. MPLS technologies include VLL, VPLS, L3 VPN, RSVP, LSP, and Traffic Engineering.
*Router and Switch experience on Cisco, Brocade and Juniper platforms.
*Juniper SSG/SRX, Juniper SSL VPN and Juniper MX Series experience
*Strong hands on experience of using troubleshooting tools including wireshark

You will be a team player, well organised, have the ability to work under pressure and have strong attention to detail. You will have and will maintain industry/market awareness of all the current network technologies and or emerging technologies within data network communications.
