Network Engineer (CCNP, Juniper, OSPF, MPLS)
City of London
£29,000 - £33,000 + out of hours cover + Excellent Benefits including 22 days holiday + bank holidays + childcare vouchers

The Role
As a Network Engineer working for a leading IT solutions company in the City you will be responsible for installing new services and supporting customer installations and core infrastructure platforms. You will also be responsible for performing networking configuration, installation and support. This company are offering an experienced Network Engineer the opportunity join and working with cutting edge technologies. Experience from a MSP/ISP/Telecoms company is highly advantageous. You will be working within a dynamic and growing provisioning team and will be responsible for:

*Networking configuration, installation and support
*Provisioning tasks such as building configuring and testing systems end to end including associated network elements.
*Equipment installations at customer or data centres and also decommission equipment should it be required.
*Changes requests in accordance with works processes and procedures.
*Technical support for all customers as and when required. This will from time to time require out of business hour support.
*You will be required travel across the UK (and potentially overseas on occasion) to perform customer installations and testing or perform routine maintenance work. This may require overnight stay on occasion.
*Keep all customer and network configuration information up to date in accordance with processes and procedures.
*Preparing and updating service documentation including keeping accurate "as-built" records, CRM system and other technical records.
*Obtaining sign-off from customers for completed installations.
*Liaising with the helpdesk and other teams to resolve the problem quickly and to maintain regularly feedback to the customer.

The Requirements
As a Network Engineer it is essential you have a good blend of both technical and interpersonal skills as well as the following:

*A formal qualification of some kind (HND/Degree), in an engineering or science discipline
*CCNP qualified with a minimum of 12 - 18 months hands on experience with layer 2 / layer3 services
*Hands on experience with configuring and troubleshooting layer2 and OSPF
*Some experience with MPLS services
*IPv4 and IPv6 experience
*Firewall experience ideally Juniper SSG or SRX
*Good understanding of Ethernet and DSL based communication access technologies.
*Ideally some experience of BGP
*Ideally vendor experience of Cisco, Brocade and Juniper

It is desirable to have experience in the following:
*Experienced with vSphere 5.x and above ideally qualified to VCP level
*Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting windows server and Redhat Linux
