A leading Telecoms managed services company in the City of London are looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst that has previous experience in an ISP/Telecoms company. The salary on offer is £22,000 including a £3,000 shift allowance + Excellent Benefits.

Service Desk Analyst (Shift based)
£22,000 including £3,000 shift allowance + Benefits including 22 days holiday + bank holidays and childcare vouchers

Please note this role is shift based with 4 days, 4 days off, 4 nights on then 4 nights off

The Role
As a Service Desk Analyst working for a leading IT solutions company in the City you will be responsible for providing 1st line technical support and escalating issues to 2nd/3rd line teams. You will have at least 1 years previous experience in a similar helpdesk/service desk role, ideally within an ISP/Telecoms company. The company work in an ITIL environment therefore any experience or ITIL foundation certifications are highly advantageous. Working in a growing team you will be involved in the following duties:

*Responding to customer support requests, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner
*Providing 1st line technical support to customers, escalating to 2nd/3rd line teams when required
*Successfully handing over communications to the night shift team
*Taking ownership of customer updates, ensuring regular updates are being given throughout the open case
*Working with service partners, ensuring any incidents escalated to them are being completed in time with agreed SLA's
*Managing call/email queues

The Requirements
As a Service Desk Analyst it is essential you have at least 1 years experience working in a customer service/helpdesk role in an ISP/Telecoms company. You will be educated to degree or equivalent standard and will be looking for a role where you can learn technical areas around Telecommunications such as IP routing, Firewalls and VPN. You will be a strong communicator who enjoys working with customers. You will be confident, a self-starter and also a strong team player.
