A leading Telecommunications company are currently recruiting for a Support Engineer with either CCNA or JNCIA certifications and a background in Telecoms. The salary on offer is £28,000 - £32,000 + Excellent Benefits including pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday and more.

Support Engineer (Telcoms/Cisco/Juniper)
£28,000 - £32,000 + Benefits including 25 days holiday, pension and healthcare

The Role
As a Support Engineer working for an award winning Telecommunications company you will be responsible for ensuring that outstanding technical support is being provided for a number of services and that SLA's are being met. You will be responsible for owning and managing cases and keeping them documented accordingly. You will be part of a team within a growing, unique company and will have an excellent background in Telecommunications. You will be working in a NOC environment and will be involved in the following duties:

*Managing cases such as changes, faults or requests
*Using Salesforce to manage case queues
*Assign any faults to carriers and suppliers, following these up to ensure they're acted on as soon as possible
*Monitoring and troubleshooting network faults
*Providing network services and support to partners
*Ensuring that best level of practice is being adhered to both in support and monitoring
*Passing over any live cases to the night shift team

The Requirements
As a Support Engineer you will have a background in Telecommunications in a similar role working with WAN technologies, Juniper, Cisco and ideally in a NOC environment or similar. You will be self-motivated with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. You will be good at building relationships and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will have an excellent understanding of the OSI Model in relation to MPLS and VPLS. A strong knowledge of networking and routing protocols is assumed. You will be from a Telecommunications environment and will ideally hold certifications in either Cisco or Juniper such as CCNA or JNCIA.
