Support Engineer (Voice, Data and Networking)

The Role
As a Support Engineer working for a leading IT, Communications & Technology Company you will be responsible for providing technical support. You will be part of a dynamic and forward thinking technology company and you will have previous experience in supporting voice, data and networking services. This role has been created due to an exciting expansion of the company.
You will be involved in the following duties and have experience of:
*Network troubleshooting; in depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, NAT, switches, routers, firewalls, bandwidth analysers
*Voice Troubleshooting; soft switch technologies, SIP trunks, ISDN, voice quality analysis, solving complex voice issues
*Voice configuration; extension updates, call routing, voice recording, contact centres
*Experience with following hardware manufacturers is beneficial:
oExtreme Networks, Cisco, Juniper, Allot, Mitel, Broadsoft or other voice platforms
*Dealing with 3rd party suppliers, owning and managing technical escalations
*Minimum 3 years liaising with clients in a technical support role
*Minimum 3 years network support experience
*Proven ability to troubleshoot, own, resolve cases and keeping the client informed
The Requirements
As a Support Engineer you will have a minimum of 3 year's experience working in a similar office based support role dealing with external customers. Previous experience in an ISP or Telecoms environment is advantageous although not essential.
You will have outstanding communication skills and will have the ability to own and manage technical escalations. You must also be able to demonstrate outstanding case management and customer support excellence.
You will ideally hold a CCNA certification or be working towards this (or CCNA Voice/CCNP) and will be keen to learn new technologies. This Support Engineer role will primarily be office based with some travel when required.
Any experience with Windows is highly beneficial; desktop support, Microsoft Office, setting up mailboxes.
You will ideally have experience in Broadsoft, Mitel or any other voice platform however candidates with strong networking experience with only some voice exposure will also be considered for this role as long as the applicant shows a strong desire to learn.
