The Opportunity

Working for an established market leader of technical support and consultancy in the Broadcast, Publishing, Retail and Corporate sectors this exciting new role is paramount to the business as they continue to grow. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Support Services Manager to shape and create a great team.

The Role

As a Support Services Manager you will be responsible for leading, managing and motivating a team of 20+ 1st/2nd line Support Engineers. You will be running the support services division in the London office along with managing support engineers based on customer site. You will also play a key part in combining the support team with the operational objectives to deliver an exceptional service level to clients. You will be leading a highly technical and skilled team and will be involved in the following duties:

*Running the support services function including engineers based at large enterprise clients
*Leading the team in providing a variety of technical support and customer service ensuring this results in maximum customer satisfaction being achieved
*Managing the delivery of services and compliance within the set client SLA's
*Overseeing the support desk on a day to day basis, prioritising customer requests to engineers and providing escalation as and when required
*2nd/3rd line support
*Leading and motivating the team through various methods such as coaching, career planning and performance
*Involved in assisting and running of the managed service environment to particular customers, ensuring that 24/7 service is being provided
*Ensuring that support documentation is being provided and monitored

The Requirements
As a Support Services Manager you will have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience supporting a multi-platform environment of Apple Mac and PC and also experience of managing teams providing support services. You will have a good working knowledge of video technical infrastructure and operations including backup services and procedures, near line editing systems, routers, firewalls, switches and other network equipment. You will also have previously worked with digital desktop editing packages. You will have experience in production and post-production workflows and will ideally be from a production or broadcast background. Any experience of change and/or project management is advantageous. You will be confident and dynamic with strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills.

The Package
The salary is between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
