The Role
As a Voice Services Engineer working for a leading IT and Telecom solutions company you will be responsible for the installation, configuration and support of voice systems (Mitel and Asterisk). Experience of Mitel 3300 is essential and ideally Asterisk however if you have strong Mitel experience only please still apply. A good working knowledge and understanding of networking is assumed. The role is split between voice (80%) and data (20%) and you will be involved in the following duties:

*Installation, configuration and routine maintenance of the equipment working closely with service partners.
*Adds, moves changes on managed PBX platforms either on premise or hosted.
*Attend site to perform upgrade or deal with fault related issues.
*Learn how to configure the softswitches for customer solutions and also maintain the software switch infrastructure.
*Provisioning of voice and data services.
*Design, configuration and implementation of both voice and data solution for customers.
*Install, configure/provision, end to end test, and maintain voice network elements and systems, both on company premises and on customer site.
*Troubleshoot technical fault, 3rd line when required.

The Requirements
As a Voice Services Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

*Experience of Mitel 3300 and various version of Mitel software including MCD and vMCD
*Ideally experience of Asterisk or Broadsoft
*Strong technical knowledge of VoIP signalling protocols including SIP
*All solutions are based on IP therefore you will have a good understand of TCP/IP and OSPF
*Experience of diagnostic tools such as wireshark
*Experience of TDM to SIP gateways (dialogic )

The company use 3 main PBX's; Mitel, Asterisk and Broadsoft therefore candidates must have experience in at least 1, ideally 2 of these with Mitel being the preferred one. SIP experience is also key.

PBX Experience
*Experience installing and configuring Mitel ICP 3300 Controllers software release MCD 5.xx using SIP and or Q.931
*Performance PBX upgrades on Mitel servers
*Configuration changes including auto attendant, SIP trunks

Advantageous:
*Broadsoft experience
*Have at least 12 / 18 months previous experience of working for a communications service provider in a similar role
*Certifications including CCNA or Mitel

This role requires some out of business hours work for purpose of support and installations. The role also requires candidates to be available for out of hours support on a rota basis on a week on week off basis.
