We are currently recruiting for a leading IT, Communications and Technology Company in London and are looking for an outstanding Voice Technical Support Engineer to work within the Support department. We are looking for candidates ideally from an ISP/Telecoms background that have previously provided external support to voice, data and networking services.

Voice Technical Support Engineer

The Role

As a Voice Technical Support Engineer working for a leading IT, Communications & Technology company you will be responsible for providing technical support to voice, data and networking services. You will have previous experience of supporting these services in an ISP/Telecoms environment and will ideally have working knowledge of Broadsoft, Mitel or any other voice platform. This role has been created due to an exciting expansion of the company. You will be involved in and will have experience of the following:

*Voice Troubleshooting; soft switch technologies, SIP trunks, ISDN, voice quality analysis, solving complex voice issues
*Voice configuration; extension updates, call routing, voice recording, contact centres
*Network troubleshooting; detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, NAT, switches, routers, firewalls, bandwidth analysers
*Experience with following hardware manufacturers is beneficial:
-Extreme Networks, Cisco, Juniper, Allot, Mitel, Broadsoft or other voice platforms
*Dealing with 3rd party suppliers, owning and managing technical escalations
*Minimum 3 years liaising with clients in a technical support role
*Minimum 3 years network support experience
*Proven ability to troubleshoot, own, resolve cases and keeping the client informed
*"Going the extra mile" to deliver timely fixes or updates for customers

The Requirements

You will have a minimum of 3 year's experience working in a similar office based support role dealing with external customers. Previous experience in an ISP or Telecoms environment is advantageous although not essential.

You will have outstanding communication skills and will have the ability to own and manage a number of technical escalations. You will have excellent organisational skills and must also be able to demonstrate outstanding case management and customer support excellence. You will be ambitious, driven, enthusiastic and will be looking for an opportunity which is multifaceted and dynamic.

You will ideally hold a CCNA certification or be working towards this. Candidates with or working towards CCNA Voice or CCNP certifications are highly advantageous. You will be a quick learner and be keen to learn new technologies. This Voice Technical Support Engineer role will primarily be office based with some travel when required.

Any experience with Windows is highly beneficial; desktop support, Microsoft Office, setting up mailboxes.

Candidates with strong networking experience with only some voice exposure will also be considered for this role as long as the applicant shows a strong desire to learn.
