Junior Technical Support Engineer
Crawley, West Sussex
£20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits including pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare, stock options and more

The Role
We are looking for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join a leading global Telecommunications company in Crawley. The company have experienced significant growth and are offering the suitable candidate the opportunity to work in this fast paced and rapidly growing industry and progress through the business. You will have proven troubleshooting ability of a technical nature for 1-2 years, this may be desktop, general IT or networking support. Recent graduates that have been working on a technical helpdesk or NOC would be ideal. Any experience of VoIP is highly beneficial however training will be given. This is a desk based support role and you will be involved in the following duties:

*Working on the helpdesk providing up to 3rd level technical support
*Troubleshooting voice; PBX, IP PBX experience, SIP knowledge
*Working with soft switches
*Working with Windows/Unix/Linux
*Experience with the following hardware manufacturers is highly beneficial; Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Sqyx or similar IP Telephony Systems
* Developing system documentation

The Requirements
As a Junior Technical Support Engineer you will have 1-2 years proven troubleshooting experience in either desktop, general IT or networking support. You will ideally have experience of VoIP however training will be given. You will have proven ability to learn and apply new information quickly and will be proactive, self-driven with a thirst for knowledge. You will have a very flexible attitude with a keen interest in VoIP/Cloud telephony. This role would suit recent graduates with 1-2 years technical helpdesk or NOC experience.
