Technical Support Engineer (VoIP, PBX, IP Networking)
Crawley, West Sussex
£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits including pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare, stock options and more

The Role
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with 2nd or 3rd level experience in SIP, PBX, IP PBX and IP Networking to join a leading global Telecommunications company. The company have experienced significant growth and are offering the suitable candidate the opportunity to work in this fast paced and rapidly growing industry and progress through the business. Previous experience in a 2nd/3rd level role is highly beneficial however candidates that have some exposure to supporting telephony systems and are looking for a step up will be considered therefore please still apply. This is a desk based support role and you will be involved in the following duties:

*Working on the helpdesk providing up to 3rd level technical support
*Troubleshooting voice; PBX, IP PBX experience, SIP knowledge
*Working with soft switches
*Experience of supporting any of the following is highly beneficial; Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Sqyx or similar IP Telephony Systems
*Developing system documentation

As a Technical Support Engineer it is essential you have the following:
*Recent experience with VoIP/IP PBXs
*Customer networking experience TCP/IP
*SIP experience
*Knowledge of wireshark or similar
*Extensive industry experience
*Some industry based qualifications or equivalent experience
*Interest/experience in Cloud based telephony accompanied by a flexible attitude to self-motivated learning

You will have provided 2nd/3rd level support working with SIP, VoIP, PBX and IP Networking however candidates that have had exposure in these areas and are looking for a step up will also be considered. You will have strong working knowledge of IP Networking, DSL and WAN and proven experience of troubleshooting with the ability to multitask.
