The Role
As a Support Desk Advisor working for a communications service provider you will be responsible for providing technical, service and administrative support to customers. You will be providing 1st/2nd line technical support around service, billing and product enquiries. This role is on a shift basis 4 days on, 4 days off working on day shifts of 8am-8pm or 10am-10pm. We are ideally looking for candidates that have some kind of technical or telecoms background and who have experience either working on an IT helpdesk, or telephone based customer support.

Working in a Support Desk team you will be involved in the following duties:

*Supporting customers on a day to day basis ensuring excellent customer service is being delivered at all times
*1st/2nd line technical support on products, services and billing
*Working on a central CRM, logging calls and ensuring cases are kept updated until resolved
*Handing over effectively to the night shift team
*Ensuring up to date and in depth knowledge is maintained on all products, services and processes
*Keeping customers updated on the open cases, owning and managing cases until resolution

The Requirements
As a Support Desk Advisor you will have an understanding of and networking protocols including TCP/IP. Certifications such as CompTIA are highly desirable. Any experience in a networking, satellite, broadband or mobile support role is also advantageous. You will have excellent customer service skills and be a strong communicator. You will be passionate about learning new technologies and have the flexibility to work on shifts.
