Overview:

We are looking for an inspirational technical leader to lead the internal enterprise systems group for this technology business.

The company are continuing to experience rapid growth and the key objective of the HOD is to ensure enterprise systems / architecture is scalable and in line to perform with the continued expansion of the business.

This is a leadership role with an assumed understanding of the technology stack typically used for internal systems in a technology / telecoms / ISP environment.

Knowledge could include Salesforce CRM, Netadmin, Solarwinds and one of the main service management software packages but we are open minded about specific vendors.

Environment wise, the closest comparison would be to describe the company as a technology start up, even though they have been in operation for a number of years and have a multi million pound balance sheet. On that basis, experience of having worked in a fast moving technology growth environment would be a big advantage.

Responsibilities:

You`ll be accountable for the development and delivery of the systems architecture, roadmaps, process, people management and data models.

Is the Enterprise technology stack working? Can it be improved? What direction do we need to go in to ensure the internal systems are scalable - you`ll investigate, raise business cases for investment linked to systems changes and then drive the technical implementation.

Technology: Management of delivery and integration of new systems, systems changes and upgrades, effecting smooth and predicable handover into operations and business users.

Who are you?

A technically savvy leader with an architecture background that has moved into a senior management position.
You`ll likely be from a telecoms or technology service provider and should be looking for a role that you can influence: technology, the shape and size of the systems team and the processes and methodologies that are best used in a fast moving, customer focused business.

This will be both an operational performance role and strategy position so you should be able to demonstrate the all round skills needed to assess short term operational need, alongside medium to long term requirements to support business growth.

The position will suit an all rounder, one who remains passionate and knowledgeable about the cutting edge technology used by a service provider but you`ll need the attitude of someone who is prepared to "Muck in" and make things happen in your group.

Package:

Basic to £65k with a £10k KPI linked bonus. Stock options and pension would also be included.
