Project Engineer- Mobile
Paying £35k to £45k plus car allowance
Based in Glasgow to cover Scotland

The Role
The role of Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful planning, execution and handover of cellular sites on decommissioning, new build & upgrades projects. You will typically be involved with a mixture of 3g and LTE based migration and upgrade projects across the Scottish region.

This position could perhaps suit an engineer from a rigging / I&C BTS background with the leadership and back office support skills associated with a project engineering role, or perhaps a project engineer from a mobile network design or build management background.

Duties
The Project Engineer will be responsible for;

*Management of internal/external resources in the delivery of design, tendering, REC management, construction, I&C and site inspections
*H&S Management, including the implementation of CDM
*Maintenance of real time progress and weekly client reporting for all works on both internal and external databases
*Ad-hoc reports as required by the client from time to time
*Compiling hand over pack documentation
*Calling off and generating all BoM's
*Run and liaise with Technical Services' field teams.
*Controlling and optimising KPI's
*Feedback / communication to the Team and ensuring the 'Go No Go' meetings are attended and any issues raised are dealt with.
*Reviewing of detailed designs
*Liaising with field engineers on day to day site matters/issues
*Prepare accurate designs and calculations in a timely manner to meet the demands of the project.
*Manage and co-ordinate third party contractors.
*Develop relationships with client contacts.
*Obtain and utilise expertise in client technical specifications and systems to facilitate the successful delivery of design solutions.
*Preparation and consideration of reports for review by the directors.
*Planning the project to deliver within the constraints of time, cost and quality.
The Candidate
The ideal Project Engineer- Telecoms

*Will come from an installation background & demonstrate they know how a mobile telecom site is put together.
*Will have an IC&I mobile industry technical background & an understanding with rigging / antenna principles.
*Will own from concept to completion, a portfolio of cell sites & working with the PM & customer be able to deliver sites with a right first time approach - you will know how a cell site is typically built.
* It is assumed you have previous mobile telecoms industry project engineering or I&C based field engineering experience
*you will have been responsible for planning, control, monitoring, reporting on progress, implementing QA and ensuring that health and safety is implemented on network based activities for mobile telecommunications operators.
*Have the ability to work alone on own initiative
*Team management skills
*Commercial awareness
*Strong track record in customer facing role
*Ability to co-ordinate Design and Construction activities
*Qualified in project management or a related discipline
The Company
The Project Engineer will work for a established provider of professional and network support services to the UK wireless telecoms sector and infrastructure providers.

The Package
Paying £35k to £45k plus 22days holidays, private health, car allowance, pension.
Working week will be Monday- Friday 37.5hrs and overtime will be paid for anything above this.
