The Role: 2nd Line Network / Server Engineer
Location: Goole
Package: Around £30,000 & Pension & Flexible Benefits

Brief:
We are looking for skilled 2rd line Network/Server engineer to join the IT Support team within this market leading company.
You`ll be working closely with both 1st and 3rd line support teams, acting as the escalation point for any technical issues or queries.

You`ll be an all rounder, with exposure to Cisco based TCP/IP networking with bias towards routing and switching. You`ll also be able to demonstrate solid support skills with Microsoft Server, Active Directory and Windows Desktop (7 & 8) with qualifications such as the CCNA or Microsoft MCP (In a relevant area) being viewed as a strong advantage.

Duties:
*Troubleshooting any 2nd line issues for internal networks across three main sites and the UK network of remote sites.
*Assisting 1st line support with any queries
*Provide technical expertise to 1st line IT support staff as point of escalation
*Escalating appropriate issues to 3rd line support
*Handling support tickets within required SLA timescales
*Configuration and installation of multi-vendor networking and server equipment in accordance with company practices
*Contribute to documentation of IT infrastructure
*UK wide travel may be required on occasion
*Schedule changes outside of business working hours when required
*Must be willing to be part of an 'On Call' Rota.

Required Skills/Experience
*CCNA or working towards with a strong understanding of routing/switching.
*Firewall experience is beneficial, but training will be given
*MCP or working towards, with experience of Active Directory and windows environments
*Linux server experience is beneficial
*UK Driving License
