If so, we have the perfect 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer role for you. We're a growing IT managed services provider who pride ourselves on using the latest technologies and solutions developed and tested in-house to give our clients a really tailored IT provision.

We're obviously doing something right! Our customer list carries on growing so, to make sure they continue to get top class service, we need to add to our existing IT support team.

The Role
As the next 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer you work within a close knit team of 5 (with you being the 5th) to answer calls and queries, respond to tickets raised and generally provide helpdesk support to our valued clients who span a wide range of industries.
Quality really is the buzzword for us so whilst we obviously have SLA's in place for responding it is really about making sure the job gets done well.

You'll also get the chance to travel to client sites spread around the UK as 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to assist with new set ups, installs and implement on ground solutions.

We like to think this 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer role is a little different as you will also get the opportunity to develop and test products before we roll them out to our clients. We always get access to the latest gear first so you will be expected to keep ahead of the game with regards to up and coming technologies through self-study and exploring the kit available in the office.

The Candidate
If you have experience working in a previous 1st/2nd line support role either in-house or through a managed service provider we'd like to hear from you!

To be really successful in the 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer you will need to have a good working knowledge of virtualised environments (VMWare would be ideal), Windows Server 2008/2010 and Window OS 7 or 10 as we really enjoy working with the latest technologies and passing that through to our customers. Any work you've done with MS Office products, Exchange and LAN would be viewed as very handy.

I know we've gone on about it but we really do believe in providing great customer service plus you will be fitting in to a close, happy team so you will need to be a people person who can add to that. Organisation is key too - we're looking for proactive, to-do list ninjas.
As you will be travelling to client sites and our datacentres on the odd occasional you will need a UK driving licence and your own transport (business expenses will be paid).

All Support Engineers get the chance to tinker with and run through any new products before we put them out to our customers which means you get a front row seat to any new IT advances from the likes of VMWare, Citrix and Microsoft.
