The Role
As a Desktop Support Engineer working for a leading IT managed services company, you will be responsible for providing desktop support to various financial clients around London. The role will be based 70% on customer site and 30% in the office in High Wycombe. You'll be given a company credit card for travelling to customer sites.

This role will also require you to support; Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Desktop, Active Directory and Blackberry/iOS and Android phones. A working knowledge of Market Data applications is needed such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset and Datastream.

Based in their modern offices in High Wycombe which include a chill out area with a pool table, Xbox and bar, you'll be here 30% of the time then on customer site 70%.

As a Desktop Support Engineer you will be part of a growing team and will be involved in the following:

*Supporting operating systems such as Windows XP/7/8/10
*Manage system installations, hardware and software upgrades
*Supporting Blackberry's, iOS and Android devices
*Active Directory, Group policy and Exchange support
*Ensuring user queries are answered in a timely manner, delivering a client focused service experience
*Taking ownership of issues/user requests
*Ad hoc projects such as office moves, software deployments
*Working with others teams in the business such as service desk to deliver continual service improvement

The Requirements
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role and will have a sound knowledge of Windows XP/7/8/10, Desktop support, Office 365 and Active Directory. You will have supported trade floors before and will be confident with Market Data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset, Fidessa and Datastream. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and will be an excellent communicator both verbally and written.
Any experience of working for an outsourced/MSP company and in ITIL is highly advantageous.
