The Role

Working as an IT Project Manager you will be responsible for playing a key part in the successful delivery of IT projects into the UK based corporate sector.

You'll be working on new customer implementation projects alongside existing customer moves /changes and migrations and as such will ideally have previous experience in Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare.

Our client are a well-established managed service provider (MSP) supporting London businesses in terms of office moves and relocations, IT support, managed service desk, and voice and data networks. From financial services to not-for-profit and from legal to manufacturing, they work in all sectors of the world's leading companies. Day in, day out, across a huge range of sectors, they deliver truly world class IT infrastructure and support.

This role would suit an IT Project Manager that has previously been hands-on as an Engineer then moved into project management. A technical support background in Microsoft infrastructure technology stack (Windows server, Active Directory, Office 365 etc) alongside a virtualisation knowledge and networking exposure is ideal.

If you have a background in Cisco network support with some infrastructure knowledge that's evolved into a Project Manager role this will also be considered so please still apply.
You'll be a customer facing Project Manager that can deliver the projects and also speak with credibility due to having a technical background.

You'll be working as an IT Project Manager alongside the Technical Project Director who started in the business a few years ago as a Support Engineer. You can progress in the same way as the company are all about internal progression. They will help you to achieve your goals by continuous professional development training to the value of £2500 per annum. Within the projects team at the moment they have people training in VMware, Microsoft and Prince 2.

The role will be based from High Wycombe however you'll be expected to travel to customer site when required, this is mainly London however they have clients in Maidenhead/Oxford too therefore mobility is key. You'll also be given a company credit card to travel to customer sites from High Wycombe.

As an IT Project Manager you will be involved in the following:

*Managing assigned projects and ensuring clear and concise customer and management communication is provided throughout the project.
*Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with great customer experience.
*Developing and maintaining project plans and templates such as change request, risk assessment and project closure.
*Client meetings or conference calls.
*Weekly internal meetings to provide updates on projects.
*Monitoring project progress and performance.
*Working with engineers inside the business and helping with technology as and when needed.

The Requirements
*Previous hands-on experience as an engineer that's then moved into project management.
*Prince 2 certification or working towards (ideally Practitioner however will consider Foundation).
*Technology background including Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare.
*Previous experience of leading and managing multiple projects.
*Strong understanding of corporate networks and experience dealing with external suppliers.
*Any experience in an ITIL environment is beneficial.

The Package
Salary is between £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience plus company credit card for travel to customer sites, 23 days holiday + bank holidays, private Health Care insurance, in addition to normal Vendor support training you will also be afforded 5 days external professional training to the value of £2500 per annum.

They have an employee each month which has bonuses including vouchers, meal deals etc and a "bunker" which is a games room with table tennis, pool table, drinks fridge, sweet shop, Xbox, TVs etc and also parking spaces.
