Our client company is a leading player in the electronics industry and they are looking to recruit an experienced embedded software engineer to join the business in the Cambridge region. Company provide quality solutions within the audio sector and this position is to join an existing team within the R&D department, and you will be tasked with working on new technical projects (And upgrade / amendment of existing systems).

Our client company is a leading player in the electronics industry and they are looking to recruit an experienced embedded software engineer to join the business in the Cambridge region.
Company provide quality solutions within the audio sector and this position is to join an existing team within the R&D department, and you will be tasked with working on new technical projects (And upgrade / amendment of existing systems).

It is essential you have embedded microcontroller experience and commercial experience of working with 8, 16 & 32 bit architectures. It is also highly likely you will be experienced with ARM processors and exposure to Eclipse + GNU GCC tool chain for ARM 7/9 processors would be the ideal set up.

There is a good deal of architecture in place at the moment in the company but this role will give the software engineer the chance to build on that architecture and hopefully play a part in shaping the products of the future (From a software engineering prospective).

Technical overview:

Embedded Microcontroller Experience with 8,16 and 32 bit architecture (Essential).
· Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Or equivalent)
· Eclipse + GNU GCC tool-chain for ARM7/9
· Microsoft Visual Basic .NET
· Some project management experience (Desirable)
· Board level debugging & general HW experience required.
· TCP/IP experience an advantage
· Using SubVersion source control.(Desirable)

Working week is Monday to Friday and benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
