Role: Principle Data Engineer (CCNP / Unified Communications)
Location: Home based on M62 Corridor

Overview:
We are looking to recruit a principle data engineer with in depth knowledge of unified communication solutions to provide project implementation and maintenance support of bespoke LAN Solutions on behalf of this national telecoms company.
Ideally, you`ll be CCNP level in routing and switching and have strong integrated project team skills. This role will be based from home and you`ll typically be working with customers based along the M62 corridor, so this is a role for an engineer with excellent customer facing skills.

Key Duties:

* To be the "Lead Engineer" on major projects and be the main technical point of contact throughout the life of the project.
* To resolve faults passed by the FMC within the customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) and update in a timely manner. Target: 95% of all fault calls to be completed within the customer SLA.
* To attend Account Engineering meetings as allocated by the Data Services Manager to client maintenance customers.
* To undertake and complete LAN Audits using the appropriate analysis tools and produces a detailed report for our customers.
* Test and develop customer solutions within the Lab environment in order to support both new and existing customers.
* To carry out solution demonstrations to our customers within the Lab area as required.
* To participate in the team out of hours "on call" faults rota.
* To continually develop technical skills and renew accreditation's in order to support company Cisco Gold requirement.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Strong Integrated Project Team skills to be able to deliver end to end IPT projects.
* Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching (or equivalent experience/vendor).
* In depth technical knowledge linked to unified communication solutions.
* Additional technical specialism expertise essential. These being:

* Data Centre.
* Unified Communications.
* Security.
* Wireless.
* Advanced Routing and Switching (IPv6, Multicasting).

* Full UK Driving license required
