1st Line IT Support Service Desk Engineer
Paying £20k
Based in Liverpool

The Opportunity
This role offers a great opportunity for a 1st Line IT Support Service Desk Engineer to work within a leading delivery and logistics provider based in Liverpool. There a great opportunities to learn and develop and progress within this role and move up within the company.

The Role
The 1st Line IT Support Service Desk Engineer will act as the first point of contact for all internal/external customers' incidents and requests whilst providing effective management of the customer relationship during the support call process.

Responsibilities
The 1st Line IT Support Service Desk Engineer will be responsible for:

*day-to-day IT service delivery, which includes resolving user IT issues logged by call or on the helpdesk system
*Provide users with a high level of IT Support and Customer Service
*Support both internal users and external clients
*Helpdesk and Remote Support
*Resolving of assigned incidents and requests
*Ensure all incidents and requests are recorded and updated with the service desk tool
*Ensure all incidents are correctly categorized & prioritized
*Logging support calls with 3rd party maintenance suppliers & partners
*Escalate support calls in accordance with IT procedures
*Follow the service desk management process & procedures

The Candidate
The ideal 1st Line IT Support Service Desk Engineer will have;

*Previous experience in a 1st/2nd line support role in a service orientated environment, ideally in an ITIL environment.
*Active Directory
*Citrix (versions from SP4 to XenApp 6)
*MS Office (versions from 2000 to 2010)
*Microsoft Terminal services
*Windows OS (versions from XP to Windows 7)
*Hardware builds / configuration - laptops, desktops and thin clients
*Confident and professional manner
*Have an analytical approach to problem solving
*Excellent Customer Service skills
*Effective and clear communication skills

The Package
Paying £20k
Its 37.5hrs per week it's an 8.5 hour day with an hour lunch
25 days annual leave
