The Role
We are looking for a 2nd Line Service Desk Support executive. This is a Microsoft based environment and we are looking for a service professional with the assumed technical skills but career wise, perhaps wants to move away from a pure technical support environment and more into a service delivery process role.

The Company
The Service Desk Support candidate will work for our end client, who are a leading logistics organisation operating across the UK and Ireland. They are currently experiencing an extended period of growth and to support this, have just moved into a brand new modern office in the Liverpool waterfront. As such they are looking to grow their current IT Service Desk Team.

Responsibilities
The 2nd Line Service Desk Support will be responsible for:

*Resolving user IT issues logged on a helpdesk system
*Providing users with a high level of IT Support and customer service
*Ensuring users have a reliable and robust IT System
*Supporting both internal and external users
*Project work assigned by the Service Desk Manager
*Process Improvement

The Candidate
The 2nd Line Service Desk Support role will have;

Technical
*Previous experience in a 1st/2nd line support role in a service desk environment, ideally an ITIL environment.
*Active Directory
*Citrix
*MS Office (2000-2010)
*Windows (xp-windows7)
*MS Exchange
*Hardware builds/configuration (laptops, desktops and thin clients)
*Knowledge of relational databases and writing SQL queries

Personal
*Customer Service focused approach
*Excellent communication skills (telephone, email, face to face)
*Excellent troubleshooting skills
*Ownership of issues and resolutions
*Team Player
*Hard working attitude
