2nd Line Support/Team Leader
£35,000 - £38,000 + Excellent Benefits including pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday (day off for your birthday) + bank holidays, cycle to work scheme and more

The Role
As a 2nd Line Support/Team Leader working for an award winning Telecommunications company, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line support and leading a UK based team of 5. This role would suit someone with solid 2nd line support experience that's looking to lead a team and advance their career. The split will be roughly 50% team lead/50% 2nd line support.
Previous team lead experience is ideal however not essential as full training will be provided in house.

The network is mainly Juniper based therefore experience with this is ideal however candidates with strong Cisco experience, certifications (CCNA or CCNP) and a Telecoms background will also be considered as training in Juniper will be provided by the company.
Working for this Tech Track Company you will be taking some leadership responsibility away from the Head of Networks and also providing technical support. You will have previous ISP/Telecommunications experience and will be involved in the following duties:

*Acting as second in command to the Head of Networks
*Leading a UK based team of 5
*Carrying out PDP's
*Providing support to network services and dealing with any network faults
*Escalating faults to carriers and suppliers ensuring they are dealing with any issues in a timely manner
*2nd level support for faults and change requests
*Involved in projects and solutions

The Requirements
As a 2nd Line Support/Team Leader it is essential you have the following skills and experience:
*ISP/Telecommunications background
*Either previous team lead experience or the desire to advance your career and lead a team
*Strong working knowledge of BGP and OSPF
*Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
*Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills

Any certifications in Juniper are highly advantageous such as JNCIA, JNCIS. Candidates with a CCNA or CCNP and a background in Telecoms will also be considered.
