3rd Line Support Engineer

The Role
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer you will be a key member of the support team and will be involved in providing up to 3rd level support and acting as an escalation point for the support desk team. Working hours are 8.30am-5.30pm as the company have an offshore function for any overnight support.

You'll be working as 3rd Line Support Engineer alongside the Head of NOC who started in the business a few years ago as a Support Engineer. You can progress in the same way as the company are all about internal progression. They will help you to achieve your goals by continuous professional development such as training in Juniper.

Company mainly use Juniper therefore any experience with Juniper EX/SRX/MX is great however if you are a Cisco based Engineer with a background in Telecommunications and are interested in being trained in Juniper this is an ideal role for you.

Working in their quirky City based offices which include a chill out area with beanbags, a giant blackboard for dragons den style brainstorming meetings, a well-stocked fridge and free breakfast every Friday. What will you be doing?
*Providing support to network services and dealing with any network faults
*Escalating faults to carriers and suppliers ensuring they are dealing with any issues in a timely manner
*Up to 3rd level support for faults and change requests
*Ensure cases are documented well
*Involved in projects and solutions

The Candidate
You'll have a background in an ISP or Telecommunications environment and will be confident in Layer 2, OSPF and BGP protocols. If you have certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIS or CCNP great, if not training will be provided.
