The Role
As a Desktop Support Engineer working for a leading IT managed services company, you will be responsible for providing desktop support to various clients around Central London. This role will also require you to support; Windows 7/10, MS Office 2010/2013, Desktop and Active Directory. A working knowledge of Market Data applications is preferred such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Factset however isn't essential.

Please note, working hours are between 6.30am-6.30pm on a 7.5 hour shift such as 6.30am-3pm/10am-6.30pm or 7.30am-4pm

You will be part of a team based in Central London and will be involved in the following duties:

*Supporting operating systems such as Windows 7/10, MS Server 2008/2012 and Office 2010/2013
* Manage system installations, hardware and software upgrades
*Troubleshooting and supporting issues with Networking (TCP/IP, Cabling, DNS), Remote Access Connectivity (iPas/VPN)
*Ensuring user queries are answered in a timely manner, delivering a client focused service experience
*Taking ownership of issues/user requests
*Ad hoc projects such as office moves, software deployments
*Working with others teams such as problem management and service desk to deliver continual service improvement

The Requirements
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will have previous experience in a similar role and will have a sound knowledge of Windows 7/10, Office 2010/2013, MS Server 2008/2012, Desktop support and Active Directory. You will have a strong working knowledge of Desktop, LAN and any related devices installation/support. You will be familiar with IPhone, IPads and Blackberrys. Ideally you will have working knowledge of Market Data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Factset however this is not essential. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and will be an excellent communicator both verbally and written.

Any experience of an outsourced and/or ITIL environment is highly advantageous.

The Package
This is a contract role for an initial 3 months paying £140 to £150 a day depending on experience.
