The Company

You would be working for a small, innovative & fast-growing full-service IT MSP based in London with local & global operations, and a distributed team. They manage IT for our clients in a number of fast-moving & IT-critical industries such as financial services, legal, consulting and co- working to name but a few. They specialise in running IT systems where performance, security & reliability are of utmost importance.

This is a small company and so there will be no such thing as that's not my job however they punch well above their weight having around 40 customers most of which are big international companies.

The Role

*Serve as a first point of contact and provide technical assistance. Prioritise and resolve issues, or escalate as required.
*Provide operations support on client & internal IT projects - this will be a mixture of technical, operations, admin & project management tasks.
*BAU technical management including on-going monitoring & routine maintenance of numerous internal & client IT systems using a variety of automated & semi- automated tools.
*Meticulously track, log & document everything that you do.
*Pre-sales: assist in developing project specifications and proposals
*Ensure that our clients, partners & associates continue to know that the quality of our work is nothing short of first class - every ticket, task & project.
*This will be a challenging role and a very rewarding one, with excellent growth prospects given our size & velocity. You will help manage our contractor relationships from the outset and could be managing a team very soon.
*You will be part of not just the techsapiens family but also part of the extended family for our clients, with whom we have very close working relationships.

About You

To be successful in this role you must have strong Microsoft and networking skills. A networking and Microsoft certification such as CCNA and MCSA is required.

You like helping people: this is fundamental to the role. Our valued clients need to know that their problems are being dealt with in the most professional, friendly & efficient manner possible.

You enjoy solving problems, taking on challenges and finding creative solutions. You may not know the answer straight away - that's okay, because you are resourceful, calm under pressure and relentless. You will find the right solution quickly. You have your eye on the ultimate goal and the will to find a way. No excuses, no blame. You escalate issues that are beyond your control to resolve.
You don't crack under pressure: we work hard to ensure that things run well on networks we manage, but there will be unexpected problems. Outages and downtime can be a stressful time - you need to keep your cool.

Pay and Benefits

So, what's on offer? As well as the chance to really broaden you experience and work toward running your own team there is a basic salary of around £30k depending on experience. The company will invest in you with on-going training and qualifications.
