The Opportunity

The Role
As a Junior Desktop Engineer working for a leading managed services provider in the City you will be supporting clients predominantly in the financial services industry. You'll be working in a team of 9 Desktop Engineers and will help support the service desk with remote fixes, internal projects and assist managers/engineers on customer site.

The role has been created after the successful progression of a Junior Desktop Engineer that started 18 months ago and has done extremely well and is now a Desktop Engineer that supports customers onsite. With a turnover of nearly £30 million and plans to grow from 200 staff to 500 in the next 4 years this is a great opportunity for someone to progress in the same way.

As a Junior Desktop Engineer you'll be involved in the following:
*Supporting clients remotely and on customer site
*PC builds, client health checks, logging onto client servers, resetting passwords, setting up new users
*Hardware/software upgrades
*Managing system installations
*Providing high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring all KPI's and SLA's are achieved
*Handling service requests and incidents in a timely manner
*Coordinate with third parties for support, installation and maintenance

The Candidate
This role will suit someone with an apprentice background alongside commercial experience and an understanding of a corporate environment. You'll be looking for a role where you can learn, progress and build on your career. You'll have experience dealing with end users and be confident in Windows operating systems such as Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office and basic networking. Any server experience is desirable as well as certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA etc. You'll be given the opportunity to work with a range of technologies such as:

*MS Exchange
