£130 a day (minimum 3 month contract)

The Role
As a Service Desk Engineer working for a leading IT managed service company you will be responsible for managing the incoming queue, fixing some things, triage and escalating where necessary. This role will require you to support Windows 7, Microsoft Office and general PC support. A working knowledge of Market Data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Factset is highly advantageous however not essential. The role requires good customer service skills and workload management. You will be part of a team based in Central London and will be involved in the following duties:

*Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction is maintained, ensure all KPI's and SLA's are achieved
*Perform as a first / second line engineer for remote fixes
*Liaise with third line engineers when escalation is necessary
*Manage system installations, hardware and software upgrades
*Handle incidents and service requests in a timely manner
*Coordinate with third parties for support, installation and maintenance
*Support users in the use of Microsoft Office software
*Implement software upgrades and installs as required
*Maintain procedures and system documentation

The Requirements
As a Service Desk Engineer you will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a managed service provider although not essential. Any understanding of ITIL and related processes is highly beneficial. You will have the following technical experience:

*Windows 7/ Windows 10
*All versions of Microsoft Office
*Windows Server 2008/2012
*Microsoft Exchange
*Active Directory
*Mobile devices including Blackberry, Apple products and mobile devices
*VMWare
*Citrix
*Remote connectivity tools such as Dameware, Citrix Go To Assist and RDP

Desirable
*Cisco
*Juniper
*Sharepoint
*Any knowledge of Cloud / virtual computing
*Telephony
*Certifications such as MCSA/ITIL/MCSE

The Package
