Location: London

The Role
As a Voice Support Desk Engineer working for one of the UK`s fastest growing technology solutions companies. The company is again listed on the Sunday Times Tech Track 100; it's fast growing and fast paced.

You will be responsible for providing technical support to hosted voice and data services. You will have previous experience of supporting these services ideally in an IT/Telecoms/ISP environment and will have strong skills in voice and SIP as well as basic network troubleshooting.

This role has been created due to the further expansion of the company and is offering the suitable candidate the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and progress through the business.

As a Voice Support Desk Engineer you will be involved in the following:
*Voice fault troubleshooting on softswitch, session border controller, VoIP handset, softclients and network platforms.
*SIP protocol troubleshooting and voice quality analysis.
*Complex voice issue and problem resolution.
*Voice service configuration including extension updates, call routing, hunt group configuration, voice call recording.
*Working with 3rd party hardware and software and service suppliers, as well as telecoms carriers for fault resolution, owning and managing escalations.
*Owning design projects for new capability development and platform expansion.
*"Going the extra mile" to deliver timely fixes or updates for customers

The Requirements:
As a Voice Support Desk Engineer you will have previous experience in a similar role working with hosted VoIP in an ISP, MSP or Telecoms environment. You will have experience in either hosted voice or PBX VoIP solutions. You'll also have an excellent knowledge of voice and SIP (for both SIP lines and trunks) and ideally exposure to Unix/Linux. You will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ideally you'll have exposure to Broadsoft / Broadworks, Acme Packet and OrecX however any other voice platforms will be considered as training will be given.
