The Network Administrator will mainly be providing 2nd line support, with the ability and willingness to deal with 1st and some 3rd line issues when required and you`ll provide server, desktop and network support to 170 users over 2 sites.

Job Title: 2nd Line IT Technical Support Administrator
Location: Manchester
Salary: £25-30,000

Overview:
We are looking to recruit a 2nd line IT all rounder to work in the support department of this busy Manchester city centre based law firm.

The Network Administrator will mainly be providing 2nd line support, with the ability and willingness to deal with 1st and some 3rd line issues when required and you`ll provide server, desktop and network support to 170 users over 2 sites. Ideally you`ll have a strong Microsoft based support background with good networking skills, and prior experience of working within legal IT (So any knowledge of case management systems) would be viewed as a real advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
*Daily monitoring, support and maintenance of the server estate
*Liaising with 3rd party contractors to resolve issues which affect systems or databases.
*1st/2nd/3rd line problem resolution
*Ticket handling, prioritisation and allocation
*Support and mentoring of 1st line support staff, providing cover and assisting with 1st line support helpdesk and telephone enquiries as required
*Configuration and support of both server and endpoint applications
*Handling of ad-hoc projects as required

Technical Skills:

1st /2nd and ideally some 3rd line experience within a Windows Server O/S environment supporting:

*MS Exchange 2010
*MS Hyper-V
*Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
*MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
*MS Sharepoint
*Blackberry Server
*Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and TCP/IP networking
*Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Sites & Services, SSL, LDAP, PowerShell.
*Advanced knowledge and experience of Server Hardware Architectures and RAID
