The Role

As a Network Engineer working for a leading Telecommunications solutions company you will be responsible for the day to day running of the core network and providing support. You will be a hands on engineer and will be looking for an opportunity to work across a portfolio of services and gain experience across many technologies.

This role is suited to an engineer from an ISP/MSP/Telecoms environment that is looking for the opportunity to develop their skillset, learn how to design and implement and also work with cutting edge technologies such as Juniper. You will be a natural born techie and must be ready to learn and be taught.

*Working in a highly skilled team you will be responsible for the following:
*Up to 3rd line support
*Configuration of customers equipment on core network
*Network maintenance
*Roll out of customer MPLS solutions
*Solution pre-sales and design
*Capacity planning and change management
*Technical documents
*After a few months you will be involved in the 24x7 on call rota (1 in every 4 weeks)

As a Network Engineer you will have the following experience:
*Previous experience in a MSP/ISP/Telecommunications environment
*Experience of MPLS, OSPF and BGP (ideally day to day exposure)
*CCNA certified
*Experience of managing a network rollout daily
*Fault diagnosis of leased lines

Any experience of the following is highly desirable:
*Juniper
*Deployment of carrier Ethernet
*Optical networking (WDM technologies)
*Data centre experience
*Working knowledge of peering, transit and RIPE
