The Role
As a Network Support Engineer working for a growing Telecommunications company you will be working on the service desk as the first technical point of contact for customers. The company use a contact centre to deal with basic faults therefore anything that comes through to the service desk is technical.

This is a hands-on role and will suit candidates with previous experience in a helpdesk/technical support desk role ideally in an MSP/Telecommunications company although not essential. You'll be passionate about networking and be looking for an opportunity to work across the full company portfolio of services and gain experience across many technologies. The company work with Cisco on the customer side and Juniper for the ISP side.

The role would suit someone that has worked in a similar role supporting broadband and/or Ethernet services, knows SLA's and how to deal with tickets and is now looking for a next step in their career. Ideally you will have a CCNA or be studying towards this however this isn't essential, any other formal networking qualifications such as CCENT or CompTIA are great too.

The company are big on training and are happy to put candidates through formal Cisco training (CCNA).

Working in a highly skilled team you will be responsible for:
*Managing faults and incidents
*Implementing customer change requests
*Taking ownership of tickets
*Adhering to SLA's
*Ensuring documentation is kept up to date
* Part of the on call rota after training - this is 1 in every 5 weeks and paid at £200 for that week

As a Network Support Engineer you will have the following experience
*Previous experience in a helpdesk/support desk role in networking
*A Telecommunications background, ideally from an ISP/MSP/Telco supporting broadband and/or Ethernet
*Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting experience
*Certifications such as CCENT, CompTIA, CCNA (or studying towards)
Any experience of the following is desirable:
*Ethernet, MPLS, voice, data and security services
*Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet or Mikrotik equipment
