Role: Head of Quality (Civils / CDM / NRSWA / Fibre)
Location: Oxford
Package: Circa £65,000 basic plus £10k KPI driven bonus

Role:

We are looking to recruit a head of quality to work for this expanding telecoms services company.

This is a fibre based, external network build environment and as such, you will be a senior manager that has played a part in the delivery of civils based network solutions ideally for or on behalf of a UK based ISP but happy to hear from utilities sector managers.

It is assumed you`ll have an in depth knowledge of CDM, quality, safety within a NRSWA governed network build as you`ll be responsible for developing quality, compliance and governance plans to ensure successful delivery within the operations group.

You`ll be tasked with reviewing civil engineering practices regarding FTTH delivery and develop more cost effective and efficient methods of delivery - key outcome will be a combination of reduced delivery times and/or reduce cost per premise built

Required knowledge and skills:

* In depth knowledge of current CDM and Health and safety requirements as related to civils /network build within utilities or telecoms.
* Proven ability to develop, document and implement operational standards across one or more disciplines covering civils, installations, safety etc.
* Ability to produce concise, elegant, precise project plans across dimensions of compliance and governance responsibility
* Exceptional ability to deliver results through effective matrix management
* Highly persuasive and influential, able to gain support for quality and safety improvement initiatives across the business
* Exceptional knowledge of civil engineering techniques and best practices
* Innovative and creative thinker able to craft innovative/new ways of operating and delivery
* Effective negotiator, able to influence suppliers and partners to maximise quality of delivery
* Commercially aware and able to negotiate contract terms with new suppliers
* Highly visible leader able to personally engage all staff

The Candidate:

* Recognised leader in your field with significant gravitas within the industry
* Five years operational experience in telecoms/civils utility background leading large teams
* Demonstrable experience in leading the development and implementation of quality improvement plans across dimensions of civils, operations, installations or repair
* Considerable experience of driving compliance across civils operations with current health and safety, HAUC and NRSWA standards
