The Role: Financial Controller - Network Build
Location: Oxfordshire
Package: Basic to £65k, £10k Bonus KPI driven.

The role:

Our customer is a rapid growth technology service provider business.

They have attracted over £130m of funding in the past 18 months and are now looking to recruit a financial controller to work with the CFO and help to drive the business to the next level.

This is a key position, and follows a further period of change linked to operational targets which are driven by both the board of investors and the government programmes the company are working with.

What will the financial controller be tasked with:

You`ll have ultimate responsibility for all finance transaction based activity within the business and the production of management and statutory accounts. The company are building a telecoms network and you`ll be involved in all aspects of the business cycle from the construction and capitalisation of networks to the reporting of ongoing network profitability.

Key challenges and objectives:

* Delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting obligations in line with internal and GAAP requirements
* Own the Financial control framework and liaison with external auditors
* Manage Supplier Payments & Payroll
* Work with the Operations team to ensure supply chain processes record accurate contract costing and stock balances
* Support business analytics through the provision of timely and accurate financial data to facilitate decision making.
* Lead the 6 strong site finance team, ensuring business goals and objectives are communicated, and company policies and procedures are implemented

Your background:

* You`ll be able to point to demonstrable success of working in a financial controller role for either a construction company or a company involved in the build of networks - this might be telecoms or utilities but this sector knowledge is essential.

* In addition, you`ll need to show your experience linked to contract costing and stock accounting in the construction / utilities build & deployment industry.

* It would also be a big advantage to demonstrate your skills in relation to process design/improvement aligned the requirements of a rapidly growing business and of course, you`ll be a qualified accountant.

* Personality and flexibility are both going to be key traits on this role. The company are going through rapid growth, and you`ll be tasked with developing and delivering processes to support that growth, but never to stifle the passion and enthusiasm which makes this a varied, supportive and sometimes challenging place to work - you`ll need confidence, gravitas and the ability to inspire.
