The Opportunity

The Role

Within the role you will be responsible for planning and design for the fibre, telephony, data, DTV and broadband access network, ensuring compliance with specifications and current legislative requirements in order to meet customer delivery dates & all operational performance targets.

You would cover an area maximum 1.5 hours drive from Reading and you will be provided with a company pool car for your travels. You will be on the road maybe 1.5 days a week doing surveys and / feasibility studies and the rest of the time you will be back in the office producing job packs that will be passed to contract partners who do the business installs. Customers are new, and existing customers doing upgrades, moves & changes.

The Candidate

Obviously experience previous experience of being a Business Access/Telecoms Planner is an advantage. However anyone with background in planning, organising, scheduling, logistic planning or route planning will be considered.

The following would be useful and of interest but again are not essential;
*Experience of TDM Access and HFC Network engineering would be of interest.
*Basic level of understanding of Regional Government and Local Planning legislation and someone who has strong communications skills and is presentable in front of the customer.
*NRSWA would be useful for some of the external work (70% of job is internal but some of it might get involved in the planning from hub site to building, hence NRSWA.
