The Role

Alongside our team, we would help our PHP Developer take responsibility for the development of the company's various market leading websites and back office systems, running across multiple platforms including web, tablet and mobile.
We will help you collaborate with the business and development team to implement software solutions for use on the website, warehouse and back office, creating designs for a wide range of ideas and concepts as part of the on-going development of the business.

If you have the following we want you to apply:
*Experience of PHP development - Ideally PHP5 with OOP knowledge
*MySQL and Design Patterns
*Knowledge of Browser and Device Compatibility
*Knowledge of web application frameworks such as Zend Framework
*Previous Magento experience.
*Experience using Composer.
*Experience of the full software development life-cycle: from requirements gathering and functional specification, to development, testing and delivery. This is a small but expanding development team and while the environment is more Waterfall bias at the moment, it will become Agile focused as the team grows.
*Exposure to front end technologies - JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap
*Knowledge of responsive mobile first site design.
*Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse or PHPStorm
*Knowledge of Git
*Commercial experience in Web Application development and / or software development
*Innovative approaches to problem solving.
*Drivers Licence and own transportation

We would like you to have:

*Knowledge of Nginx Web services.
*Knowledge of the Linux command line
*Experience working in agile environments
*Knowledge of Photoshop or Gimp

You will be working on various projects, and are expected to undertake the following:

*To implement systems solutions for the various departments and to support those solutions.
*Interpret business requirements and technical specifications.
*Perform coding to a technical and functional specification.
*Investigate, analyse and document reported defects.
*Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
*Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
*Create and maintain technical documentation.
*Monitor performance of live systems and diagnose performance related problems
*Perform related duties as assigned.

What's in it for you?
