Position: 1st Line IT Support Analyst (Helpdesk)
Location: Sevenoaks

Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a 1st Line Support Analyst, with experience supporting Microsoft Office, Microsoft desktop operating systems andnetwork/telephony systems to join a market leading insurance company in their Sevenoaks IT department. The role is to provide exceptional 1st line technical support to all of the company's users.
You will be the first point of contact for incidents, faults and a range of service requests and be responsible for ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. Great opportunity for somebody who is looking for a role in which they can develop with both internal and external training. Applicants must have strong communication skills.

The Role
It will be the 1st Line Support Analysts role to provide support and guidance to the users in Sevenoaks and the other remote offices. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, they will also be involved in network and user support related projects. The role will offer the opportunity to travel to other sites in the UK including the London and Leeds office.

Day to day responsibilities;
* Provide 1st point of contact for incidents and user requests
* Log, verify and update user profiles for incidents and requests on the IT Service Management Tool
* Provide initial assessment of categorisation and prioritisation for reported incidents and requests
* Ensure incidents and service requests are properly escalated and assigned appropriately.
* Perform hierarchical/functional escalations to IT teams
* Communicate with senior managers, customers and users with accurate and timely updates
* Compile data through incident entry that will be used for management information and reporting
* Maintain ownership of the incidents through to resolution
* Execute Change Requests in line with internal procedures
* Provide on-site assistance during the installations or upgrades of hardware, software, and core applications at designated locations
* Assure compliance with ISO 27001 procedures and processes

Technical skills:
*Microsoft Office and Microsoft desktop operating systems
* Case Management and workflow system support
* Basic knowledge of networking
* Knowledge of Avaya IP telephony desirable
* Knowledge of iPhone configuration and support desirable

The Candidate
