This is an initial fixed term contract on a PAYE salary basis for 3 months

The regional manager is responsible for the effective delivery of a positive customer experience of the regional installation of complex and non complex works including fault repair of business and civils telecoms services.

You will be expected to hit the ground running and as a troubleshooter, bring immediate impact to a region that has perhaps not been reaching performance objectives. It is assumed you have an in depth knowledge of HFC networks and a prior track record of success (And reputation to match) within the client and contractor cable TV industry.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
*Regional management of a quality installation and fault repair service, ensuring that the team are delivering an excellent customer experience within agreed SLAs and performance standards
*Timely and effective resolution of engineering jobs
*Change and culture management within a fast moving, KPI driven technical environment.
*Direct line manager of area managers who in turn lead multi skilled telecoms and civils engineers and sub contract resource
*Management of regional forecasting ensuring, where possible, that the resource supplied meets the monthly forecast and is delivered on a daily basis
*Carrying out the required volume and spread of quality audits: in person and via the Field Supervisor and/or the Quality Coach; Ensuring all activities are completed to our specifications and the integrity of the network is maintained
*Maintaining an awareness of jobs that have failed, investigating the underlying reasons and putting in place actions to ensure effective resolution - and reporting this to board level.
*Builds and maintains close working relationships to manage customer-affecting issues to resolution and ensure consistency in the customer experience
*Supporting Regional and local strategy through change programmes, as applicable, and acting as an enabler to change - THIS IS A KEY POINT
*Ensuring all employees demonstrate compliance with Health & Safety management standards at all times, identifying and ensuring the delivery where appropriate of any training required for Health & Safety and Environment and NRSWA
*Ensure that all staff have routine objective setting and 1:1s and that a monitoring mechanism is in place to manage performance and development of team activities

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
*In-depth experience and regional operations management of telecoms business install and network cabling activity
*A managerial qualification would be an advantage although candidates who demonstrate strong personal qualities and significant experience will be considered
*Technical / Engineering qualification desirable
*Telecoms/Network industry experience, and in depth outside plant knowledge along with experience and detailed knowledge of:
*BT's U/G and O/H Access Network
*Virgin Media U/G Core and Access Network
*Vodafone/C&WW U/G Core and Access Network
*FTTH / FTTP / FTTX
*Network Planning
*Network Construction
*Emergency Repair Services
*Consumer Installation Services
*Business Installation Services
