Anyway let's hope you take inspiration from better role models, perhaps Nev Wilshire from the BBC series "The Call Centre" is more suitable. If you haven't a clue who the former is referring to then please read on regardless.

Ok so what's this about, well an independently owned telecommunications provider are looking to bring on board a B2B Customer Service Manager to manage the Fixed Line / IP Telephony part of the business.

Sounds all technical and complicated doesn't it? Well it's not really, if you have a background in fixed line telecommunications from a customer support / technical standpoint, then that would be key for this role.

Even better if you have experience with PBX (NEC) and Hosted (Gamma) telephone systems, but this is not essential. If you've worked with different systems I would also encourage you to apply.

You would manage a team of three consultants and would get involved with the following;

*Providing B2B technical support for customers such as Center Parcs and Starbucks
*Pre sales support
*Providing training for staff
*Conduct staff 1 on 1's
*Managing KPI's
*Customer site visits

As you can see from the above you will need some form of management experience but I'm open to where this experience comes from, you could have been a team leader in a previous unrelated role and are now looking to make the step up, as long as you have the fixed line telecoms experience.

The company have been operating since 1996 and are one of the leading independent telecommunications providers in the UK. They partner with the likes of 02, NEC and ZEN to supply many organisations with integrated IT and Telecoms solutions.

Case Study

Center Parks approached the company and upon an audit it was found that they were paying over the odds to a number of different providers causing added costs and confusion.

The changes that were made included;

*Using a single supplier for multiple services simplified communications and billing
*Install an NEC telephone system to cover all users. This introduced features such as intelligent call routing which removed the reliance of all calls being channeled through a receptionist.
*Cost effective solution was to move to the Office 365 cloud based solution. The company now provides full IT support, which has included implementing a disaster recovery plan.
