Job Title: Senior HS&E Manager (Health, Safety & Environmental)
Location: Surrey or North West England (Flexible)

Summary:
Senior HS&E manager to act as head of department on all health & safety, environmental support matters in the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the board, you will advise and manage process and standards across the company and implement (And maintain) strategy to comply and exceed current and future legislation.

The company operate in the network solutions / telecommunications sector so prior experience in that field would be highly advantageous.

This is a role for a senior health and safety professional with significant gravitas, as you will be representing the company in senior level customer meetings and dictating & formulating H&S policy across the country. It assumed you will be suitably qualified (CMIOSH / NEBOSH) with demonstrable commercial experience.

Responsibilities:
*To promote, develop and improve Health & Safety systems within corporate guidelines throughout the organisation.
*To ensure existing environmental management systems are maintained
*Development of Health & Safety and Environmental procedures to maintain and improve upon the level of service provided and in line with all current legal and moral duties.
*Implement regular and impromptu site inspections for quality & safety for internal staff and sub-contractors.
*Analysis of Health & Safety, Environmental performance via internal audits.
*Accident and incident investigation, report findings, including recommendations
*Analysis and evaluation of existing processes, procedures and systems to identify areas for improvement.
*Liaison with all EH&S representatives across the Global Company.
*Ensure that H & S training programmes are in place for all staff in conjunction with the management team and records are maintained.
*Ensure regular tool box talks / H & S guidance notes are disseminated through the operational staff.
*Ensure all staff are suitably equipped with PPE including monitoring of same.
*Ensure all new & existing suppliers meet company supplier approval system.
*Maintain monthly H & S reports to board level.
*Financial responsibility for quality and safety budgets as agreed with MD
*Ensure, at minimum, legal compliance and reduce risk of non-compliance.
*Identify opportunities for continuous environmental improvement and implement programmes to deliver these.
*Promote and coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability.
*Represent company with local and national health, safety and environment bodies.
*Provide technical support to the Building Services Department on projects, and on building modifications that have environmental impacts and aspects.

Requirements
Educated to degree standard or professionally qualified.
CDM Experience & Knowledge
Ability to communicate at senior / board level both internally and externally
Broad based experience in Telecoms & Construction Health & Safety

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

*Qualified in Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems, Processes and
Procedures
*IOSH or IIRSM or CITB S/S qualified
*NEBOSH (Diploma) qualified
*Microsoft Office applications conversant
*Presentation Skills
