The Role
Working for an award winning fast tech track 100 company, this Network Engineer will be supporting a Cisco based network and the VoIP network. We are looking for someone with a data networking background and a keen interest in VoIP as cross training will be given.

The company are based in impressive offices in Telford and are big on internal progression, they have plans to expand the team including hiring juniors so this is a really good opportunity for a Network Engineer to go in there now, cross train in VoIP and progress into a lead role. At the moment, it's not a people management role but is certainly a lead or senior level due to the level of responsibility and technical duties involved.

In terms of technology, they work in a Cisco based environment therefore experience of Cisco software such as IOS, IOS-XE and IOS-XR is assumed alongside strong working knowledge of IP routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, BGP EIGRP and IRGRP is required and any Cisco certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are highly advantageous.

Any exposure to Voice platforms is good to have however isn't essential as training will be given.

What will you be doing?
As a Network Engineer you will be involved in:
*Supporting routers, switches and circuits in a Cisco environment both for the company and customers
*Assisting in the design and implementation of new solutions
*Configuration of Cisco routers and switches
*Providing remote support when needed
*Monitor performance, troubleshooting any network issues that arise
*Manage and acting on any requests in the ticket queue
*Logging all faults onto the ticketing system
*24/7 call-out rota which is 1 in every 4 weeks (from home unless required to go onsite)

Who are you?
As a Network Engineer you will have worked in a similar network based role and will ideally hold Cisco certifications such as CCNA/CCNP. You will have strong working knowledge of IP protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IGRP and RIP and will ideally have some exposure to VoIP or a keen interest in learning this area as training will be given.
Although we are ideally looking for an all-rounder, candidates with strong experience in either voice or networking with only some exposure to the other will also be considered for this role as long as the applicant shows a strong desire to learn.
You will ideally have worked in an ISP/MSP/Telecommunications company before however this isn't essential.

The Company
An award winning tech track 100 Telecommunications company; they have exciting plans for the near future. This is a great opportunity to be at the forefront of this and get involved from the early stages.
