The Role
Working for an award winning fast tech track 100 company, this Senior Voice Engineer will be working in the NOC and responsible for the VoIP network. This VoIP network has recently been designed and we are looking for someone to deploy, support and maintain this. You'll also be involved in any new designs and implementations.

The company are based in impressive offices in Telford and are big on internal progression, they have plans to expand the VoIP team including hiring juniors so this is a really good opportunity for a Senior Voice Engineer to go in there now as a lead and be part of this growth. At the moment, it's not a people management role but is certainly a lead or senior level due to the level of responsibility and technical duties involved.

In terms of technology, they use Freeswitch however any voice platform experience will be considered such as Asterisk, Avaya, Cisco Call Manager, Mitel, Broadsoft etc. Strong SIP experience is required and training will be given on Freeswitch. They also use OpenSIPs so any exposure to this is great however not essential.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Voice Engineer you'll be involved in the following:
*Designing, deploying and maintaining the Freeswitch/OpenSIPS platforms
*Voice troubleshooting
*Ensuring Voice network performance is being maximized
*Logging all faults onto the ticketing system
*Holding regular training sessions with team
*24/7 call-out rota which is 1 in every 4 weeks (from home unless required to go onsite)

Who are you?
You'll be a Senior Voice Engineer with strong SIP experience and will have previously been involved in design and maintenance of a VoIP network. Networking knowledge is assumed and you'll ideally be comfortable with SIP, RTP and TLS protocols. In terms of environment, its Unix based so any exposure to this is handy however not essential.
You'll be passionate about new technologies and keep up to date with what's going on the VoIP/SIP/Telecoms world.
