Technical Support Engineer (SIP, VoIP, Cloud)
West Sussex
£30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits including pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare, stock options and more

The Role
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with experience in hosted IP telephony and/or SIP to join a leading Telecommunications company. The company have experienced significant growth and are offering the suitable candidate the opportunity to work in this fast paced and rapidly growing industry and progress through the business.

The ideal candidate will have technical support experience in SIP based IP cloud telephony systems from a service provider/ISP/Telco background however candidates from a reseller background will also be considered. If you have had have some exposure to supporting telephony systems (PBX or IP PBX based) you will be considered therefore please still apply.
This is a desk based support role and you will be involved in the following duties:

*Working on the helpdesk providing up to 3rd level technical support to partners
*Dealing with tickets
*Developing system documentation
*Working with a number of internal teams including Sales and Engineering
*Deploying and supporting solutions
*Gathering information from customers in order to troubleshoot issues

As a Technical Support Engineer it is essential you have the following:
*SIP and/or Hosted cloud experience
*Remote diagnostic experience
*Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
*Strong knowledge of IP Networking, DSL and WAN
*PBX/IP PBX experience
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ideally Telecoms/service provider industry experience
*Experience of supporting any of the following is highly beneficial; Asterisk, Avaya, Swyx or similar SIP based telephony systems
