Job Description

Technical Support Engineer (Microwave/Networking)

£30000- £50000 (salary is not defined, it's all dependant on experience)+ package.

Liverpool

Do you know what an Ethernet L2 SWITCH is supposed to do?

Or how a VLAN stacking feature works on a packet microwave radio?

Do you have strong networking skills maybe CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCP qualifications alongside some Unix/Linux knowledge and enjoy solving problems?

Have you experience within Radio, microwave or mobile telecoms telecommunications?

Maybe you have worked in a NOC or helpdesk environment previously.

If you can answer yes to some or all of these questions, then I may have a very interesting role to run past you.

You will be working for a globally recognised brand providing technical support to a range of customers and engineers integrating our client's products into their networks. The support will largely be remote but there could be times when you need to provide face to face assistance.
You will analyse problems that customers are having with the equipment and then solve the issues yourself or escalate the problems over to the central help desk. You will be involved in the training of customers, pre/post-sales support and helping with the networking acceptance testing. We are looking for engineers who are able to problem solve and communicate solutions to both technical/nontechnical customers.

Good Ethernet experience and networking is a key part of the role, telecoms is a really big plus. We can train areas where you are light on experience.

You will be working in a small team of similarly talented individuals who really know there industry. There is a very collaborative approach to how problems are solved and it is anticipated that you will be able to help each other develop by sharing your knowledge.

You will have a clearly defined career progression plan where you will receive investment in your training and mentoring from peers. The role has the scope to become what you make of it with international opportunists if you wish.

If this all sounds interesting and you would like some more details please send us your CV and we will be in touch.

If the role isn't for you, but you would like to recommend a friend, we pay excellent referral fees on successful placements.
