2nd Line Service Desk Engineer
Based in York
Immediate start
3-6months contract - could go perm for the right person
Paying up to £15ph through an umbrella company - Dependent on Qualifications and Experience

The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a 2nd line service engineer (with 1st line responsibility) to join a dynamic global IT department. Based in York with travel to other UK sites as necessary. The role requires a self-motivated and loyal individual who will be expected to directly contribute to service excellence at all times.

Technical Skills:
Windows 7/8 workstation support
Active Directory administration
2 years + Enterprise service desk support experience
Windows 2008/2012 server knowledge and administration.
Keen focus on attention to detail, and good written/verbal communication skills.
The Candidate
The ideal 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer will have

*Forward thinking, open minded team player
*2+ years working and supporting a global organisation
*Understanding of ITIL/Lean IT principles. Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
*To handle incoming technical support incidents, requests and changes; ensuring calls are closed in a timely fashion.
*To be able work as part of a team and contribute positively with team members.
*Work with all Global IT teams (3rd Line, ERP and Infrastructure, as well as 3rd party software support)
*Excellent customer service skills.

The Company
The 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer will work a global injection moulding company with 2500 employees and production sites in the UK, Poland, Sweden, Germany, China, India and Malaysia. The company supplies high quality injection moulded components into 5 main markets, which are automotive, packaging, consumer appliances, industrial sectors and business machines. They are also growing in the medical sector.

The Package
The 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer role is a 3-6month contract which can go perm for the right employee
Paying up to £15ph- Dependent on Qualifications and Experience and the chance to progress within a global company.
39 hours per week, 8-5, Friday 8-4pm
