IT Support Engineer

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a IT Support Engineer to join our technical team. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide 1st Line IT Support to our expanding customer base. You will be required to allocate tickets to engineers and ensure that tickets are being resolved with the SLA required. The role will provide excellent opportunities for personal development in a wide range of areas. Any necessary training will be supported

Responsibilities
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for:

*Log and manage support tickets through to completion within our Service Level Agreements
*Ensure that tickets are allocated and resolved by all engineers within the required SLA
*Provide premium quality telephone and e-mail support to the company's growing customer base.
*Troubleshoot user problems in an efficient way, identifying a problem with only limited information from the client.
*Configuration / Maintenance of the following:
* Microsoft Windows Vista / 7 / 8
* Microsoft Office 2007 / 2010 / 2013
* Microsoft Windows Server / Active Directory
* Microsoft Exchange / SharePoint / Office365
* Basic Router configuration
* Printer / Scanner / Copier configuration
* An understanding of Network & IP Addressing
*Out of Hours work may be required occasionally

The Candidate
The ideal IT Support Engineer will have;

*Experience of working in a previous IT support role
* An IT Qualification or working towards an IT Qualification
* Experience using Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications
* An understanding of excellent customer service
*A professional telephone manor
* A keen interest in enhancing your technical skills into new technologies

Excellent knowledge in the following areas:

- Microsoft Windows 8/7/Vista
- Microsoft Office 2007 - 2013

Some knowledge in the following areas:

- Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Exchange
- Small Networks

The Company
The IT Support Engineer will work for our end client who are ia Business ISP with points of presence UK wide. Our end client focus on three primary business functions; Connectivity, Cloud Services and Business IT Support. This role will primarily deal with the Business IT Support division of the company.

Hours of Work
Hours: 35 Hours per week. 1 hour lunch period. Typically 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday.

The Package
Starting Salary: £20,000 plus Benefits.
