Blue chip Telecoms Company requires a highly skilled and experienced logistics manager ideally from an operations /service background to join their team. This is a home based role but will involve extensive U.K. travel; as such a Midlands or South of the Midlands home address would be ideal, and a full U.K. driving licence is a must.
This is excellent opportunity for an individual with well developed negotiation, influencing and people management skills who has an excellent understanding of the logistics requirements of hi-tech electronics businesses.
The logistics manager will be accountable for all aspects of the operational relationship between the outsourced warehouse logistics partner, this will include taking ownership and accountability of a substantial logistics budget.
This is a highly KPI/SLA driven role and it is expected that the chosen candidate will be able to show how they have achieved great success in these areas. In addition the selected candidate will be expected to develop SMART KPI's to measure the performance of the partner company to ensure that any contracted services are fit-for-purpose and value for money.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing all outsource partner requirements and creating high levels of engagement and satisfaction with stakeholders, employees and customers.

It is fundamental to the role that the chosen candidate maintains and improves the already collaborative relationship between Client Company and its partner. As such outstanding communication skills are required for this role as well as a flair for problem solving.
You should be able to demonstrate how you have previously increased efficiency; cost saved, and increased activity in a logistics role.

For the successful candidate a package is available with a basic salary of between £50000-£55000 per annum, Bonus of between 10-15%, Private Health, Pension, 25 days holidays and a range of further benefits.

* Own and develop a partner management strategy that targets our partners to drive performance for the benefit of our stakeholders, customers and employees. This will include, but not limited to, the continual improvement of the partners support services, cost improvement opportunities, beneficial working practices and activities etc
* Ensure outsourced warehouse operations deliver a brilliant experience for our internal and external customers
* Ensure the outsourced partner operates in accordance with the policies and procedures required by Asset Tracking
* Ensure the requirements of all internal customers are understood and delivered by the Partner logistics operations
* Ensure the Partner logistics operations are managed to meet and exceed agreed SLA / KPI targets
* Ensure the operations are efficient and deliver better than budget / forecast expectations
* Influence, design and challenge relevant dashboard / metrics reporting for the operations on a monthly & quarterly basis

* Conduct monthly financial and operational review meetings with the outsourced partner, with a focus on the strategic use of the outsource partner.
* Work with outsourced partner to ensure ongoing efficiencies are delivered via a programme of continuous improvement
* Continually review the contracts and the services with internal stakeholders (i.e. field, engineering, Business Division) to ensure that Company get a value for money service; that the services are delivered in-line with the terms stated in the contract and to the satisfaction of our internal stakeholders and customers.
* Work with the outsourced partner to deliver standard processes utilising "one best way" methodologies
* Ensure all relevant Company financial policies and procedures are adhered to
* Develop a good working relationship with the Procurement team that supports both areas goals and objectives.
