Job Description

Our client, based in Liverpool are looking to recruit an experienced warehouse manager who can demonstrate detailed people management, stock control and logistical management experience within a fast moving warehouse environment, taking ownership for the smooth and efficient running of this site, based just outside Liverpool city centre - it has excellent transport links via car, bus or train.

The company are an expanding organisation within the fashion sector and any prior experience of working in this sector would be classed as an advantage but is not essential. This is a role that can offer a number of challenges and we are looking for a manager that would be able to contribute in key areas that can bring efficiencies to the business, perhaps in areas such as stock control, distribution, stock control and inventory systems.

A solid level of IT skills with the normal technology associated with a warehouse / logistical management environment is assumed.

Key duties and responsibilities.

* People management, stock control and production of management information reports to the company directors.
* Team briefings and workload planning both for the current day and following day work schedule.
* Stock Control (against orders, unboxed, ticketed & bar-coded if necessary)
* Monitor and report upon the quality of supplier deliveries and act accordingly.
* Manage stock in category order and availability
* Manage / implement the process to ensure garments are bar-coded upon arrival to the warehouse.
* Ensure the team adheres to all safety standards within the warehouse and raise awareness of H&S issues, raising issues and areas to be investigated immediately.
* Allocate, pick and pack orders on time and ensure dispatch in a timely manner
* Manage a team of up to 15 staff
* Ensure all deliveries are tracked and any late / non-deliveries are managed
* Train, coach and develop staff as necessary
* Ensure communication between stores and the warehouse are consistent
* Ensure that all paperwork and operational reporting is completed on time
* Manage accuracy of paperwork with all staff
* Assess staff rotas and amend as required depending on volumes
* Discipline staff when required
* Ensure that staff are using the in-house stock control system accurately
* Maintain stock levels - ensuring accuracy of information provided to Director
* Attend management meetings as required

Working week is Monday to Friday, normal working hours so no shifts.
