The opportunity:

Would the challenge of playing a key part in the delivery of some of the most cutting edge ultra-fast fibre to the premises internet services in the UK be something that catches your attention? If so, read on.

These programmes of work are going to shape how sections of the UK receive ultra-fast internet services and as such, we are looking to speak with community engagement managers who will be the voice of the business across rural communities in the South West of England.

This is a well-funded technology company that is going through rapid growth and is not a political, red tape style environment and you'll be given the chance to influence and use your experience to attract the attention of the local communities, tell them our story and then with the support of the marketing department, act as the go to person as we approach go live date for internet service delivery in that area. The product is an internet service that is much faster than what the community current receives and pricing levels will remain the same as what the customer are currently paying - so this is a product which will speak for itself.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, the Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for working within local communities to drive sales uptake and work with the local teams to deliver the appropriate branding, awareness and events necessary to help them succeed. The role involves marketing communications and developing and maintaining relationships with rural communities and key community contacts and influencers. This requires significant planning and research as well as working hands on with promotions, digital media, local advertising and events needed to make this rapid growth service provider successful in these communities.

So, who are you?

You will be a highly personable, relationship focused B2C marketer with a passion for building relationships and the interest and ability to quick up what we do technology wise. This is a role for a self-starter, working from home, you'll manage your own diary for the week and this will involve showing flexibility to attend meetings with the local community at a time and place of their convenience.

You don't have to have worked in a technology company before, although this would be a big advantage but you'll certainly need to show an impressive track record when it comes to B2C sales and marketing as you will take regional responsibility for driving marketing-led sales within their assigned communities in order to drive volume via customer sign up, and then once we are live in the area, look to further build upon our customer base by being a visible presence and point of reference for the community.

You'll have a full driving license, and either be knowledgeable in technology/telecoms / FTTP/ IOT (highly desirable) or a tech based industry or at the very least, have a passion for technology and how the internet is becoming more and more essential to our target customers in their homes.

It's assumed you'll have a good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods and you'll also show us your ability to build effective, productive relationships with all types of people in a friendly, open and honest manner. You'll enjoy presenting and be happy to organise sessions that allows the community to ask questions about who we are, and how we are different
